Terms of use

What these cover today

Legwork is not open. Today these terms cover using this website and joining the waitlist. Nothing is for sale, and joining the waitlist costs nothing and commits you to nothing. The sections about the product apply once you have an account, and you will be asked to agree to them then.

Who you are agreeing with

Legwork is contactable at hello@uselegwork.io. "We" and "us" mean that. "You" means you.

The waitlist

Joining means we will email you once to confirm, and once when Legwork opens. It does not reserve you a place, promise you a price, or oblige either of us to anything. You can ask to be removed at any time and we will do it.

One exception: the founding member offer shown on the website (free while Legwork is in early access, then 30% off your first year) is honoured for anyone who joins the waitlist before Legwork opens.

What Legwork is, and what it is not

Legwork is a research and writing tool for a salesperson. It suggests what to do and drafts what to send.

Nothing is sent without your yes. Sam writes each email and shows it to you in full. If you say yes to it, it goes from your own Gmail at the time shown, and you can undo it until it goes, which is never less than a minute. At most 20 emails a day go from your account, and every one is logged: to whom, the subject and when. If you do not say yes, nothing goes. Legwork never acts on your LinkedIn account: it never logs in, connects or sends messages there.

It can be wrong. It researches public sources and writes with a language model, and both make mistakes. Every finding shows its source and every score shows its reasoning, so you can check. Check anything that matters before you act on it. You are responsible for what you send.

What we ask of you

Your content, and who owns what

What you put in stays yours: your company context, your rules, your accounts, your contacts, your notes. What Legwork writes for you, such as drafts, briefings and documents, is yours to use however you want, with no licence back to us and no attribution needed.

The software, the interface and the words on this website are ours.

We use your content only to run the service for you. We do not train models on it. See Privacy for who else sees what, and for the separate, optional setting about anonymised counts.

Paying, when there is something to pay for

Plans are monthly and you can cancel whenever you like; cancelling stops the next payment rather than refunding the current month. There will be a fourteen-day free trial; the card is taken when the trial starts, and nothing is charged if you cancel before it ends. Prices may change, and if they do you will be told before it affects you, never after.

Stopping

You can close your account at any time. We can close yours if you break these terms, do not pay, or use it in a way that puts us or somebody else at risk. Unless the law stops us, we will tell you why and give you a chance to get your data out first.

What we do not promise

We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we do not promise it will win you business. It is a tool.

Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows: we are not liable for lost profits, lost business or lost data, and our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period. If you have paid us nothing, which today is everybody, that figure is nothing.

Changes to these terms

If we change them we will change the date at the top. If the change matters and you have an account, we will email you rather than quietly updating the page.

Which law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer somewhere else, this does not take away rights you have where you live.
